MY TIMPO DINOSAURS
I got some real old dinosaurs here. They are Timpo brand. Never heard of them? Well now you have.
They are a cross between Linde and Miller brands. The colors are earthy. They look like they are made out of clay. They are brittle like they are made out of raw clay. The arms broke off of the brown Tyrannosaurus during shipping. They aint made with space age polymers like plastic toys are today. I think these are made with stone age polymers. Oh well! They look nice.
There are six figures in the series: Diplodocus, Tyrannosaurus, Triceratops, Megatherium, Dimetrodon, and Stegosaurus. It is hard to get a complete set when they are so rare. They aren't extremely rare, but rare enough.
The other day I picked up a Timpo Dimetrodon. Then I put it back down. It's mine so I picked it back up and put it in my collection. I updated the pictures for the new member of the family. (January 2022) I had recently lost in an auction to get a Timpo Megatherium. You can't win em all.
A few days later I won one with a broken leg which I can reattatch.
Bad news, The arms fell off and the leg was actually one of the arms - so no leg. Missing leg means no Megatherium. At the very reduced price, I would have taken it had there been a leg to reattatch. Didn't I tell you these are fragile? The struggles of a dinosaur collector.
"HEY BUD, YOU'RE GOING THE WRONG WAY."
