MY DINOSAUR PAGE - EVEN MORE MARX FIGURES
A few pages ago, I talked about how we were gonna look at the existential epistemology of the Marx dinosaur situation or something like that. Well today I have a more modest goal - just take care of the leftovers. Not a tuffy. I got Megatherium, Struthiomimus, Smilodon, and Sphenocodon to cover. That will be it for the individual species/figure coverage for Marx dinosaurs. I will cover cavemen in the next section. I will also cover rare color Marx dinosaurs in a future section.
Our next performer for the night is Marx Smilodon or Sabertooth Tiger. It is a second series mold figure.
Next up for your consideration is the Struthiomimus. That is a plant eater. It is a second series mold figure in the Marx dinosaur world.
And finally, we look at the Sphenocodon and it looks back at us.
The Sphenocodon lived 300 million years ago. It's dead now. It aint like those big turtles that can live forever. They ran about ten feet long and looked a lot like a sailless Dimetrodon. They are in the small mold group in the Marx dinosaur world. Most dinosaur brands didn't carry a Sphenocodon. One notable exception is the Linde Coffee eight character set. The Marx Sphenocodon looks a lot like the Linde figure, but is larger. I cover the Linde figures further ahead.
Here we have a few test shot pictures. Test shots were used to test the molds. They usually were done in white plastic. The ones that I have seen have all been pure white. They are very rare and very expensive. When I get done with this page, I'm gonna grab my bottle of Salvador's Margarita and take a few test shots.
